Hi Folks - Welcome to Aquarius season, which is really the season of the weirdos! So Aquarians are like the little aliens of the zodiac, and they’re really brainy. This is also the sign of the revolutionary and the humanitarian. Their thinking is typically a little before their time, and sometimes it can leave the rest of us scratching our heads. Aquarius is more associated with groups than individuals. Aquarius season runs from January 19th-February 18th. Pluto just recently moved into Aquarius so I wanted to talk a little bit about that. Right now we are in for the long haul with Pluto (god of the underworld) currently transiting through Aquarius for the next decade or two (Pluto doesn’t leave Aquarius until 2043!!! we’re in it folks, and not necessarily to win it!!) 👻 On January 21st, there was also a sun/pluto cazimi/conjunction, that announced itself with a bang 💥 (it was the day right after Trump’s inauguration, and he signed and continues to sign a ton of executive orders that seem pretty detrimental to people and the planet). This reminds me of the Wall Street meltdown that led to the global financial crisis of 2008, which was also associated with Pluto’s movement into Capricorn. I’m just noting that Pluto seems to enter a sign with a big bang, and I think, perhaps, Trump’s inauguration is that big bang thanks to Pluto. Ever since the elections in the US I’ve wondered about Pluto in Aquarius and I’m starting to wonder if Pluto in Aquarius is signaling (or showing us) the dark side of the collective. Or maybe it's the power of the collective? My advice during this Pluto transit: lean on that Leo energy, Leo is one of the leaders of the zodiac and is a pretty independent sign (also, the opposite sign of Aquarius). Keep your independence and critical thought about you! I think this will be the salve through which we get through this transit. Create community, but be your own leader, is my advice. Many astrologers have been pointing out how Pluto also rules over transformation, and how this Pluto transit is about the transformation of social groups and technology. With AI on the rise, we’ll see what happens! Astro updates/astro points of interest for creatives: Venus in Pisces: Venus is currently doing a Pisces transit and this is her space of exaltation, yay! She’s in Pisces until Monday, February 3rd. Mars is retrograde in Cancer: I suspect this is the reason I’ve been feeling so tired lately!! Pretty much enough said. Fights and such might be sloooow right now, if anyone even has the energy to fight. Stations direct on Sunday, February 23rd!!! Jupiter in Gemini: Ah, my favorite transit right now for finishing a large writing project (aka my novel)! This transit ends in June 2025. New Moon in Aquarius: Wednesday, January 29th. ♒️ Full Moon in Leo: Wednesday, February 12th. 🦁 Aquarius season book recommendation: I Who Have Never Known Men - Jacqueline Harpman I know, this book sounds like some sort of lesbian manifesto, but it’s not, I swear! This is speculative sci fi with a feminist bent, and it’s way ahead of its time; originally published in 1995. As Aquarius’ are often viewed to be ahead of their time, once I finished this book I thought “a-ha! a book for Aquarius season!” What is so fascinating about this book is the way it’s written and how it creates a lull over you. It’s hard to put down, for sure. Anyways, if you’ve read this far I’m sure you’re wondering what the book is even about. It recounts the story of a group of women who live together in an underground barracks, in a cage. They are watched by guards and given food, which they then prepare for themselves. The story is told from the POV of the one young woman who devises a way to tell the passage of time. The young woman has no memory of the “before times,” before they lived in the barracks, but the rest of the women remember their lives. However, none of them have a memory of how they got there or why they’re there. At one point the women get out of the barracks, but you’ll have to read the book to know what they discover.
And that's it for this month! I skipped Capricorn season - sorry! It was just too tempting to slow down during that time. Best, Demelza

Welcome to Gemini Season! I can’t believe we’re already in Gemini season, running quick into summer! Half the year is almost up, yikes! So here we are, in Gemini Season, which started on May 20th this year, and will last until the summer solstice on June 20th. This Gemini season will be a busy one, astrologically. Many planets are changing signs during Gemini season, which is oh-so-very Gemini, as Gemini is the most mercurial sign. Gemini is ruled by Mercury and the Gemini constellation is...
Hey folks! Welcome to Aries season and Spring and the end of Eclipse season!! (Quick note, scroll to the end of this newsletter and there is a wonderful opportunity for a writer with a game changing idea) I’m not gonna lie, all of this has made me pretty tired - it has been an exhausting month, has it not? There were many changes going on in March, many that will affect us here on earth for awhile. Aries season brings with it the end of the eclipses and the end of the Venus and Mercury...
Hello all and welcome to Pisces season! (And, sorry this one is so late, there’s a ton going on in March - if you haven’t heard, 2025 is an active year astrologically) I was not paying attention and didn’t realize Pisces actually floated in on February 18th (how Pisces of me), and we’re in Pisces season until the Spring Equinox on March 20th (also the beginning of Aries season) As it’s Pisces season, it’s time to get dreamy. Yes, the world (or, feels like it at least) is going to hell, so I’d...
